Bitmap checkpoint

I have a question regarding bitmap checkpoint
If i use bitmap checkpoint for an image while recording and i change the resolution should the bitmap checkpoint pass or fail during run.

Hi Rahul,

Bitmap checkpoint is the most sensitive among all checkpoints supported by QTP. If you change the resolution, the result of bitmap checkpoint depend on the two things:

1) The QTP version you are using [advance version support for bigger range ]

2) How much change you made in resolution. [More resolution change means more probability of failure]

I am not clear as to why this should happen. Basically the idea of bitmap checkpoint is not clear to me.
