I have to automate a web application developed in Adobe Macromedia Flash (Not FLEX)& Action script, its very old application.
Environment I have
QTP-11
IE-8
flex4_6_test_automation_plugin
Adobe Flash Player 11 for IE
Approach1:I launched QTP and could find Flex Addin, but not Flash Addin
I selected Flex addin, but QTP is not recognizing the objects, it just treats as generic Winobject(MacromediaFalshPlayerActiveX), so which didnt work
Approach2: I Installed Extensibility Accelerator-11, tried to configure 1 object, but in "Map to Controls" section, for "Select Controls", once we click on any object in AUT, it says "The controls do not have enough properties in common to create a meaningful role"
Please guide me, whether QTP supports Flash application(Not FLEX...it does FLEX)
Please reply if you have any approaches and thoughts.
