I was reading an article where I found that earlier version of QC (it didn't say how much earlier) was known as TestDirector. Is it true ?

If no then is TestDirector compatable with QTP ?

If yes then if I use TestDirector and gain practical knowledge of using it then will it be any how helpful for clearing the HP certification exam?
