Not able to capture the web objects - tejesh - 05-15-2012
Hi this is Tej from Hyderabad. I'm currently learning QTP. I have one question. whenever I add the web objects the object repository is capturing an displaying it as a winobject and not as a webobject. for example if I capture a browser it displays as a window. I tried to figure it out. thinking that this might be becoz of the deselection of the web addin, I selected it but to no avail. I'm using Win 7 OS.

there's also a security setting in win 7 that restricts you from capturing web objects, please first check as sankalp told you, if still doesn't work then follow these steps:
Open Control Panel > User Accounts > Change User Account Control Settings > Move the bar all the way to the bottom ( "Never Notify" )
hopefully it'll yield some results for you
