Can't run QTP scripts on new machine - Bluefields - 05-22-2012
Hello there,
I have "old" QTP scripts created with QTP10 for an web application on IE8 on a XP machine. I got a new computer with Win 7 (and QTP10, IE8). I tried to run the "old" scripts on the new machine, but QTP doesn't recognize the objects on the web application anymore.
Any idea?

Check if the OR(if shared) is associated or not.

What do you mean with associated (or shared)?
When creating the scripts I just used the "Record" Button and captured everything I needed on the application in IE8. I didn't do any manual association in the OR.

Hi,
Here the QTP version is same and browser version is same(i.e. QTP 10,IE8) but Operating system is different.(i.e. XP & Windows7)
There is nothing to do with Object repository in this case.
HP provided a patch (QTP_00644.exe) for QTP 10 inorder to support "Windows 7" operating system.
Get the patch > install it > check once > you can get it resolved
