QTP 8.2 compatability with ie7 - swetha.b - 06-16-2008

Hi ALL,

I am a fresher, just started to use QTP tool. I have QTP 8.2 installed in my machine and browser ie7. Through one of the forum postings I came to know that QTP 8.2 doesn't support ie7. May be this could be the reason I was unable to open the tool. When ever I try to open QTP, screen vanishes in seconds. I tried installing and uninstaling QTP many times, but this did not solve my problem.
Could any one of you please help me in understanding how QTP 8.2 can be made compatable with ie7.

Reply to my request could be a great help for me, as I am struggling with this issue since 2 months.

Regards,
Swetha

QTP 8.2 doesn't support IE 7

either you can use IE 6 or upgrade to QTP 9.x series. QTP 9.5 even supports tabbed browsing feature in IE7

Ankur,

Thank you, I Tried downloading QTP 9.5, but by default I am able to download QTP 9.2.
Could you please tell me, how can I make this evaluation version into a permanent version. Does my QTP 8.5 licence help me in optaining this.?

Regads.

You can use your 8.2 Licence. It will work with 9.x series as well.
