Automation Testing On Beta Version of Browsers - manmayee - 07-31-2016

Hello,

I have a specific requirement.

I have a bunch of functional test cases that we execute against beta version of browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox). Any suggestion on which tool will be suitable for such a scenario.

E.g - UFT 12.52 supports Mozilla v42 - v44. Now the we have Firefor 48.0 beta available. Will the scripts run on Firefox 48.0 ?

Regards,
Manmayee

Firefox and Chrome maintain a rapid release cycle. It becomes very difficult for any company to keep up with that pace and come up with an official support/announcement stating that a particular version is stable with their corresponding app.

Unless there is an underlying technology change, the versions work without any issue even if there is no official announcement of it.
Officially 12.52 (with Patch 1) and UFT 12.53 does support Firefox till Firefox version 46.
