HI,
I am using QTP 11 to automate putty , i have also configured Terminal emulator addin to work on putty but when i use Object Spy on Putty , system reboots or crashes.
What is the solution for this Please?, Below are the settings i have made in QTP for terminal emulator .
QTP select the menu
1) Tools->Optons
2) Click on Terminal emulator tab
3) in this tab click button-Open Wizard
it will open the wizard
4)click next
it will ask u three options
5)select second option Configure new user defined settingsClick next
6)click next (short session name 'A')
7)click next
8)Select second option "Emulator does not support HLLAPI"
9)Click next
10)now in first four text field edit "PuTTy"(main win class/Text win class/
Toolbar class/Statusbar class)

11)click next

12)now edit the following values
Cols : 80 width: 8
Rows : 24 Height: 16
13)click next/finish

Mahesh, I am having the same problem. Did you find the answer to this problem?

U guys have java add-in enabled? i had the similar issue with java add-in enabled while working on a mainframe application. After disabling the java add-in it worked fine.

I had a similar issue. I resolved it by uninstall then reinstall of QTP. This should work.
