Adobe/PDF Documents and QTP 9.2

I am trying to setup my first piece of Testing with QTP.

I have a system which generates a letter in PDF, which opens when a link is clicked at the end of the process.

This letter has a reference number on it, in the same place, and I am trying to get the letter to save to a location using that number.

I can't seem to get it to work though. I find that the co-ordinates change when the page is enlarged or on a PC with different settings.

I tried coping to Notebook, then going to the line it appears (should always be the same, but the column is variable and can't seem to make that work.

Any help here would be great - I did the full HP tutorial, but didn't really help on this one!
