First action in applet didn't work

Hi,

i have an oracle application which i start in an applet window. I cant' record and run anything in the first screen in the applet. If i click manually a button, "jump" into another screen everything works fine. Also if i go back to the "first screen", i can record and run everything of the first screen. Can i initialize the applat? Or what can i do, that the "first screen" works?
