control on the environment
#1
Solved: 10 Years, 9 Months, 1 Week ago
Hi,
I'm a beginner in QTP.
I'm currently working on a web application which should be tested in differents environment before the production one (development, recette, homologation...).
The value of an particular object in one en. is different from others.

Is it possible to do the following control without using visual basic (because, I don't know VB)?
If the env. is developement
Then X = 'a'

I hope i'm clear enough.
Thank you for your help, in advance.

It's MUST to have knowledge of VB Script. Though QTP offers keyword view for non programmers but I would say that's not an efficient way to write scripts.

Now to your question, yes this can be done easily.

Please refer QTP blog for VB Script using QTP.
