quicktest professional has stopped working

Hi,

I have installed QTP11.0 on my system. after completion of installation process one icon is created on desk top(HP QuickTest Professional). i double click on that icon to launch QTP application but i am getting the below error.
"quicktest professional has stopped working" .

i did some browse in google to resolve, some where it is mentioned that patch QTP_00699 will resolve the issue, so i downloaded the same and installed on my system but still i am facing same issue.

Please note i have restarted the M/C after applying the patch.

Please any one can help on this issue.

have you tried running as Administrator?
Right Click and run QTP as an Administrator.

Hi,

I ran as suggested ,but still same issue.

I thought might be issue with instalation so uninstalled and installed again today, this is also not worked.

I doubt this could be an issue with prerequisites required or could be microsoft debugger.
-try installing prerequisites manually from the media.
-try installing MS debugger.
-if it still does not work, this could be your antivirus. disable your antivirus and try installing it again.

I disabled MCfee antivirus in my system and installed againg , it is working fine now ... thank you very much.
