Enable to record script for web application

Problem to record script for web application. Please review reproducible steps:

1. Click on Record button and select web option and enter http path to record application
2. perform action to record, but these performed steps are not recorded in QTP. I have selected Internet Explorer for recording, also Enable protected mode is checked in Security tab.
3. Once I close the browser after performing action QTP record only
Window("Windows Internet Explorer").Activeate
Window("Windows Internet Explorer").Close

Please suggest to complete recording.

Check if you have web addin

Web add in will be a default add in. Make sure that it is in selected mode when you are opening QTP.

Is there any problem to install QTP 10.0 because it is working fine in Windows XP. Please help if required any steps for Windows 7 for QTP
