Will QTP work with a headless application, that is, will it work with standalone code that doesn't have a web page.

QTP is a functional testing tool, for code level you need to employ other tools depending on your requirement.

I've read some about QTP, but I haven't seen it in use. Since I only get 14 days, I want to make sure I know stuff before I try it.

From what I've read, it seems similar to a tool we're using now. We were told that we wouldn't be able to use that tool for our application, but we were able to load the code in constructors and test against it.

Do you think this approach would work?
