Not able to edit existing scripts in QTP 11

ISSUE- I have opened QTP 11 and established alm connectivity to get qtp scripts. Now I am trying to edit these scripts in qtp but i am not able to edit. It appears these scripts have been locked etc.
Can anyone please advice any solution or workaround. 
We have to checkout the test before editing in ALM. Follow the below steps:
1) Navigate to your test in ALM 2) Right click on the test 3) Checkout the test case (Versions>Checkout) 4) Go back to QTP and open the test now Make sure that you have checked in the test case, once you are done with Editing.
