Test case run time differs-Why?

Hi,
When I am running my testcases some times it is taking 11 min,some times 8 min,some times 3 min.
Why?
How to keep that always 3 min?

Hi,
do not use any applications while playing back the script except the AUT. If it is web based application then it depends on the performance of the application.

Hi,
QTP always looks for Creation Time of browser,so while runnning your script if you have opened any other browser then it would take more time than expected so its better to close other browsers when you r running a particular script,then check if it is working Fine or not?
