I have just started using QC/QTP and am beginning to get the hang of it but have started running into an intermittent issue.
Sometimes when I run a test set I get the "QC Unable to open the test in the testing tool." error. It doesn't seem to be with any specific test or test set. Whenever this happens all the tests run after it give the same error. ex: If the test set has 6 tests 1 & 2 are okay, 3 gives error then the last 3 will all give the same error.
Everything I have been able to find has been about none of the tests working, but not an on/off issue like this. I have tried closing/opening QC/QTP/browser, it sometimes works. Sometimes restarting the disconnected tests works the second time.
Running both QC and QTP 10.0, QTP is running on a windows XP VM. Running IE 8. QTP has the "allow other HP products to run tests" checked.
