QTP not recording give website URL

I'm new to QTP and tried to record some website interactions. But it was not written scripts in test window. Please help to me.

Check whether u selected "Web" add in before recording Script..

Hi All:

Always provide below info. while asking these type of questions(like QTP not supporting/recording)

Browser being used ( such as IE,FireFox etc)
Browser Version being used ( IE 7,IE 8 ..)
QTP Version being used
Operating system being used
Add-Ins checked
Patches installed(If any)

It makes the forum members/readers to trace out the exact problem and provide the adequate solutions/Answers quickly.

Hi Jeyendran,

Please make sure:
1. The Web add-in is selected
2. Open QTP before opening the application under test
