Why do I see strange signs by the line numbers?

Could someone please tell me why is this happening? When I want to put a break point on some line I get strange signs by the line numbers, any idea why this is happening please?

Do you have sufficient RAM on your machine? Restart your machine, kill the unused processes and then try to repeat what you have descirbed above.

Thanks, Ye I have a lot of ram, I did follow your suggestions and it worked but sometimes these signs come back.
