QTP Tutorial: newtours.mercury.com changes to newtours.demoaut.com
#1
Solved: 10 Years, 9 Months ago
I am trying to do the QTP Tutorial. I made sure the settings were correct. Registered a new user. Clicked the record button. signed in and clicked "Submit". The IE 7 Browser crashes and the Mercury Tours webpage disappears. QTP is still running and ready to record the next step. Also, I cannot keep the webpage from automatically changing from http://newtours.mercury.com to http://newtours.demoaut.com
QTP and the Tutorial reside on a sever that I am logging into. Is it a security issue with the server? The Tutorial used to work. I don't know what has changed.

Does it crash at the exact same spot every time? How often has this happened?

It crashes at the exact same spot every time. It immediately crashes as soon as I click on the "Submit" button. It happens exactly the same way every single time.

I also got the similar problem like you. It said

I use QTP 9.0.
Does anyone know the reason?

@srinivasadityab, hieutue:

I received an email from HP. It seems that all the HP learning websites are in transition phase and would not be available till 7th/Nov/08. Though it didn't mention the demo site but I guess the non availability might be because of this.
