QTP crash during start
#1
Not Solved
Hello,

I have a QTP crash each time I try to start it. The QTP GUI begins to be displayed with a strange layout (it is displayed on the very left of the screen, and there is the file menu that seems to be open).
But I can't do anything on the GUI before it crashes.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall QTP 9.2 with critical patches, but the problem is still there !

I suppose there is a bad GUI configuration that is stored somewhere in an Application Data, or in a registry entry, but I don't know what needs to be cleanup ?

Thanks for your help.

I had this a few weeks ago. It just stopped working! May be same, may be different.

Issue was I was missing HALF the files. The software is deployed by our IT department. They uninstalled it, re-installed it. Rebuild my pc. Then when they checked another pc with QTP they found more than double the files I had. No idea how it happened!
