I would suggest using the SystemUtil utility to launch the flight application and then you can continue recording further steps. i.e do not use recording for launching flight application.

so the first line of your script will be :

systemutil.run "C:\Program Files\Mercury Interactive\QuickTest Professional\samples\flight\app\flight4a.exe"
