One or more shared object repositories?

Cannot understand why the need to have multiple shared object repositories instead just a single shared object repository as the QTP 10 help file discusses.

Wouldn't a single shared object repository make life easier and just have all the web pages for the website within one browser object? Please explain. Thanks!

There is not hard and fast rule that we should have multiple shared object repository. We can have even only one shared repository. This is depends on how your are going to approach the automation.
